Building For The Future Capital Campaign
Isle of Wight Academy is “Building For The Future”
with a $1.2 Capital Campaign
IWA kicked off a $1.2 million capital campaign to build an Early Learning Center and to renovate the older gymnasium. On August 27, 2014, preschool and kindergarten students started school in the new Smithfield Foods Early Learning Center at Isle of Wight Academy. The new building includes six classrooms and an atrium for small group use. The new Smithfield Foods Early Learning Center completes the original design of the IWA campus. Teachers, parents and visitors to campus express amazement when they walk through the doors of this new building. SMART boards, spacious classrooms and eco-friendly lighting make our new building the showplace of the IWA campus.
Hundreds of basketball games have been played in the older gymnasium located at the front of the IWA campus. Today the gym is the site for elementary PE classes, preschool tumbling class, athletic teams’ practices, and various assemblies. Renovation of the gymnasium is included in Isle of Wight Academy’s Capital Campaign, “Building For The Future.” This building was original to the IWA campus when the school was founded and it is exciting to plan for its continued use on campus for many years to come. You can assist our efforts with the gym renovation by contributing to the “Building For The Future” Capital Campaign. All donations made to “Building For The Future” Capital Campaign are tax deductible. Checks should be made payable IWA and sent to IWA, Attention: Mary- Margaret Wells, P.O.
