For the Kids Dinner and Auction

The 2020 FOR THE KIDS event to benefit Isle of Wight Academy took on a new look this year thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Two days before the event, the decision was made to cancel the 2020 FOR THE KIDS Gala and take the auction portion of the event online allowing us to open it up to even more supporters. This year’s event helped to raise over $65,000 for Isle of Wight Academy.

Past auction proceeds, as well as proceeds from this current year, benefit several areas at the Academy-one being technology. Never have we been more grateful for that technology and the online learning tools we have than the last few months when students and staff were forced to take their learning online due to the school closures. Another area this auction benefits is capital projects and this summer our bathrooms on campus are undergoing renovations and are the first step in our larger capital campaign project of classroom building renovations.

Isle of Wight Academy is fortunate to have generous sponsors who support this event. Even with the changes to the format of this year’s FOR THE KIDS event, these sponsors along with grandparent sponsors and some ticket holders remained committed to Isle of Wight Academy and we appreciate their support. Please support these businesses as they support our students and the educational initiatives we undertake.
